An occasional award by the Coach/Coaching Staff to recognise an act, series of acts or behaviour which, in the coaches’ opinion, reflects the pursuit of excellence or the spirit of swimming that all members of Stingray Swim Club are urged to strive for.

Awards and recognition are often given to those who stand out in the eyes of many. At times those who work hard consistently, quietly and faithfully behind the scenes are those who are forgotten. There is no athlete within the Stingray Swim Club who in recent times has shown as much dedication, perseverance and committment to excellence as Matthew. Athletes such as Matthew are those who make the Coaches jobs easy and enjoyable.
The best athletes to work with are always those who want to be doing what they have to do, show up on time and get on with the task at hand while at all times believing in themselves and having faith in the program with which they are involved. Matthew is one of those athletes.
